The charming historical architecture captivated my heart.
Unfortunately, I encountered several issues during my stay. The mattress in my room felt excessively soft, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Additionally, the hot water was unreliable, as it ran out very quickly during my shower, leaving me disappointed and uncomfortable. Despite the appealing ambiance of the inn, these shortcomings overshadowed what should have been a delightful experience.

The great and the meh
Friendly innkeeper Bobby made our stay pleasant! The hot breakfast was cooked to order and the cozy porch with wicker chairs added charm! Enjoyed the complimentary wine and cheese in the evening!
Parking was a hassle since the options were limited nearby. While the room was spacious, we missed having a fridge to keep our drinks cool when relaxation called.

The Vandiver Inn provided a memorable stay. The delicious breakfast was cooked to order, especially those eggs by the chef, Brad. Really enjoyed the charming atmosphere with well-maintained Victorian decor throughout. The daily manager's reception and complimentary beverages felt welcoming. Stairs were plenty, so that's something to consider if mobility is a concern. Meeting the friendly owners made the experience more pleasant. Even though I found the room charming, I noticed some wear like torn wallpaper and a few broken tiles in the bathroom. The lack of a comfortable seating area in the lobby was noticeable during quieter times. Despite these hiccups, the charm of the Inn and the kindness of the staff made it a memorable getaway.

Cut to the chase, here’s my take
The ambiance here is charming with Victorian architecture. Service was top-notch, from the friendly innkeepers to the superb breakfast featuring made-to-order eggs. The location allows for easy exploration of the nearby town, which has a genuine, down-to-earth vibe. It's definitely a fantastic spot, especially for couples seeking a romantic getaway.
